Our Story
The photograph was starting to fade — a paper print from decades ago, of her parents on their wedding day, her mother’s veil caught mid-breeze.
For their anniversary, their daughter commissioned an oil painting of it. Not a copy — a reimagining, brushstroke by brushstroke, until the old photo breathed again in soft color and light.
When they unwrapped it, her mother touched the canvas the way you’d touch a face. “It’s us,” she said quietly. “It’s really us.”
Photographs fade. Paint, cared for, lasts centuries. But the real gift was the care itself — the hours someone spent choosing colors, mixing light, deciding how her father’s smile should look. To be painted is to be studied, deeply, by someone who loves you. Give them that.
