Our Story
When the vet’s office called with the news, she asked for one thing before they left: a lock of fur, the soft gray tuft from behind his ear. It felt strange at the time. She wasn’t sure what it was for.
A month later, she found out. She slipped that little tuft into a locket engraved with his face and wore it every day after.
It’s remarkable, what a small piece of metal can hold. A photograph on the outside, a keepsake on the inside, and a heartbeat’s worth of memory pressed between them. When she walks, it taps lightly against her chest, like a small animal asking to be let back in.
For the love that never really leaves, keep it close — literally, always, over the heart.
