Our Story
He’d tried to write the letter a hundred times and deleted it every time. Some things just don’t come out right in a text message.
So he did it the old way. He had his words carved, one character at a time, onto bamboo slips — the way lovers wrote two thousand years ago. “I’m not good at saying this out loud,” it began. “So I’m writing it where it can’t be deleted.”
She unrolled it slowly, slip by slip, like opening a secret. By the last one, she was crying and laughing at the same time.
Some words deserve better than a screen. Carve them into something that lasts, hand it over with shaking hands, and let a letter do what a message never could — stay.
