Our Story
Eighteen is a strange age — old enough for everything, still young enough for the world to feel enormous. Her best friend stood on the edge of it, excited and a little scared.
So she made her a gift for the crossing. A small frame with a photo of the two of them, and a switch that played their song — the one they’d screamed in the car for three summers straight.
“Whenever it gets big and scary,” she said, “wind it up. Remember there’s someone who’s known you since you were this tall.”
Her friend hugged her so hard the frame almost cracked.
Some gifts mark a birthday. This one marks a threshold — the moment a girl becomes who she’s going to be. Give her a song and a face that won’t change, and she’ll walk into eighteen like she’s already home.
